Meet Josh

In 2012, I was recruited from the hospitality industry by Bethany Home, Inc. to redesign their dining program. I’m pleased to say that the transformation has been very successful. In fact, Bethany was just nationally awarded 2017’s ‘Foodservice Department of the Year’ by the Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals (ANFP) and the Nutrition & Foodservice Education Foundation (NFEF)!

Long story short, I took Bethany’s cafeteria-style dietary department and streamlined it to deliver a chef-driven, hospitality-style dining experience that continues to impress. Since we have made these enhancements, meals sales have more than tripled, beds have been full with waiting lists, nutrition has improved, state survey sites are down, and staff morale and resident satisfaction are both at an all-time high; all while working within our budget.

I’m very passionate about what I do. Dining plays a huge role in senior living and has a significant impact on the quality of life for seniors. There seems to be a number of organizations who are interested in enhancing their dining program but are in need of assistance. So, I launched Refresh Dining Solutions to help others throughout the industry.
